Keels will provide good upwind characteristics
Keel boxes being fitted on the Coast 50. These boxes will house the swing keels on each side, allowing better upwind sailing. The keels will be hydraulically manoeuvred and fully fit into the hulls when beaching the cat. Click to enlarge images

Positioning the frames of the Coast50
Once assembled, the frames are being set up on the jig. Correct positioning is crucial for the correct progress of the construction. Each frame has to be placed with millimetric precision. Click to enlarge images

Frame assembly, work in progress
Example of frames after assembly and welding. Notice the reinforcements around all the internal perimeter. Pictured are frames nº 2 and frame number 4 .

Coast50 first delivery of material
